The relevant subsidy policies of Shanghai

 

Policy Name: Social Insurance Subsidy for Start-up Entrepreneurial Organizations

 

Subsidy recipients: Small and micro enterprises, individual businesses, farmers’ cooperatives, and non-profit private entities that have been registered in Shanghai for no more than 3 years.

 

Application Requirements: The legal representative or the person in charge must be a local resident of Shanghai, or a non-local resident with a relevant residence permit; the entrepreneurial organization must have employed local workers for at least 6 months; the organization must pay the local urban employee social insurance for the employed personnel in accordance with regulations, and the social insurance payment entity must be consistent with the registered employment entity and the entity applying for the subsidy.

 

Subsidy standard: For small and micro enterprises and other entities, the 50% portion of the employer’s contribution to the pension, medical insurance, and unemployment insurance premiums calculated based on the lower limit of the social insurance contribution base of the employees in the current month of payment in the city will be subsidized; for farmers’ cooperatives, the 50% portion of the pension and medical insurance premiums calculated based on the lower limit of the social insurance contribution base of the employees in the current month of payment in the city will be subsidized. The number of people eligible for social insurance subsidies for each entrepreneurial organization is limited to 8 per month.

 

Subsidy period: No more than 36 months from the date of registration of the entrepreneurial organization.

 

 

Subsidy policies of Pudong New Area

 

Subsidy for Stabilizing Employment in Difficult Circumstances: For enterprises that hire and sign labor contracts for more than one year, and actually place employees in front-line non-managerial positions and pay social insurance fees, the subsidy standard is 1,200 yuan per person per month.

 

One-time employment subsidy for hiring specific personnel: For those who are from the Hongqiao New District and have stable employment in the same unit for at least 6 months, a subsidy of 1,000 yuan will be given to each person; for those who are the current year’s graduates from the Hongqiao New District and have stable employment in the same unit for at least 3 months, a subsidy of 1,500 yuan will be given to each person; for those who are veterans from the Hongqiao New District and have stable employment in the same unit for at least 3 months, a subsidy of 1,500 yuan will be given to each person.

 

Social security new enrollee subsidy: For each additional person who meets the criteria for paying social security premiums as compared to the average monthly premium payment of the previous year, the enterprise will receive a one-time annual social security subsidy of 500 yuan per person. This subsidy can only be applied for once per year.
